Tired of your car never staying clean?
You find parking off Pioneer Boulevard, grab lunch in Little India, and come back to a hood full of leaf litter and dust. Wash it Saturday, and by Wednesday the 91 and the neighborhood sprinklers have already undone it.
Artesia streets are tight. Cars live outside here, parked nose to tail under the trees, catching sap, dew, and whatever the morning marine layer leaves behind. Garages are full; the paint pays the price.
Soap is only doing half the job. It carries off what is loose and leaves everything bonded to the clear coat, and a tunnel brush hands back a set of fine scratches you notice in the sun along Pioneer.
So we go after what is stuck in the paint. We pull it out, polish down the marks you can see, then seal the surface so the next few weeks of dust and traffic film cannot dig in. Your driveway, our water and power.

Artesia is small enough that we are usually a few minutes out, working in a driveway off Pioneer or one of the streets behind it. No shop to drive to, and everything rides with us.
Cars here sit between two freeways, and that film bonds faster than people expect. Coated paint lets most of it rinse off instead of setting in, and interiors take a beating in a town where everybody is running errands.

I am Jaycen, and Automotive Aptitude is based one city over in Cerritos, so Artesia is about as close to home as my work gets.
Some of the best cars I look after here are not new. They are twenty years old and owned by someone who has never let them slide. That kind of car usually has more left in the paint than the owner expects, and telling you honestly what is achievable is part of the job.
I am insured and I do the work myself. We walk the car together at the end, and I would rather fix something then than hear about it after.

How to size up anyone detailing on your street
Plenty of vans work Artesia. Before any of them touch your car, two questions sort the careful ones from the rest.
Ask if they are insured. We are, and we will show you the certificate before we start. Ask what happens at the end. Here, we walk the car together in daylight and you point at anything that looks off before we pack up.
And you do not have to book to ask. Most messages get an answer within a few hours, and there is no rush on your end.

Do you charge extra to come out to Artesia?
No. Artesia sits right next to home base in Cerritos and it is one of the shortest runs we make.
What do most people in Artesia book?
Maintenance washes on a rhythm, and paint restoration on the cars people have owned a long time. There are a lot of well-kept older cars here and they respond better than owners expect.
My car is older but I have kept it up. Is a detail worth it?
Often more than on a new car. Most of what makes an older finish look tired is bonded contamination and light swirls, not age. Pull those out, polish it, and people stop guessing the year.
Artesia is tight on space. How much room do you need?
One car length and a bit of walking room around it. Narrow driveways, shared drives and carports are all normal for us. We bring our own water and power.
Can you come back on a schedule?
Yes, and most people here end up doing exactly that. A car that gets maintained properly never needs the big correction again, which is cheaper over a few years than fixing it repeatedly.
I have never had my car detailed. Where do I start?
A maintenance wash. Two hours, no commitment, and it shows you the real condition of the paint under the dirt. Everything else is a decision you make after that.
How long does a full detail take?
Two to five hours depending on size and condition. If someone quotes you forty five minutes, that is a wash, not a detail.
Do you work weekends in Artesia?
Yes. Weekends fill first. Weekday slots are easier to get.
