You wash it Saturday morning in the driveway, and the sprinklers on your block have it spotted again by Sunday. Hard water dries in the sun and leaves rings that a rag will not take back off.
This whole city was built around driveways. That works in your favor, because it means we can set up at yours instead of you sitting in a line somewhere. Most of the block commutes on the 605 or the 91, and that traffic film builds faster than people expect.
A wash does not touch what is bonded on. Soap only carries off what is loose. Mineral spotting and freeway film stay behind, and a tunnel brush adds the swirl marks you catch crossing Del Amo on a bright afternoon.

That is the difference between a fifteen dollar tunnel and what we do. Not how it looks pulling out of the driveway, but how it looks two weeks of hard water later.
Most of our work here happens in driveways off Del Amo and around Carson Park. Every house on these blocks has one, which makes this simple. We pull up, set up beside the car, and you keep your Saturday.
Hard water is the thing actually worth solving. Sprinkler spotting bakes into clear coat if it sits, and a sealed or coated surface gives it far less to grip. Older finishes usually want correction first, and cars that haul kids around tend to need the inside handled more than the paint.

Who is actually in your driveway
I am Jaycen. Automotive Aptitude is four years old, I work out of Cerritos, and Lakewood is close enough that I am usually here twice a week.
Most of what I do in these driveways is family cars, and I have seen every version of a lived-in interior. There is nothing in yours I have not dealt with and nothing I am going to comment on. You do not need to tidy up before I arrive.
I am insured and I work around your day rather than the other way round. Before I leave we walk the car together, and you pay after you have seen it.

Lakewood questions we get a lot
Do you come out to Lakewood?
Yes, most weeks. Home base is Cerritos and Lakewood is minutes away, so travel here is almost always zero.
What do most people in Lakewood book?
Interior shampoo, usually paired with an exterior detail. This is a family SUV city and the inside takes more punishment than the outside.
The interior is wrecked. Car seats, crumbs, dog hair. Is that a problem?
No, and it is most of what we do here. Car seats come out and go back in. Crumbs underneath them, dried spills, hair woven into the carpet: that is exactly what a shampoo is for. Nobody is judging the state of a family car.
My driveway is narrow and the garage is detached. Does that work?
That is most of Lakewood, and yes. One car length of clear space is enough, and we bring our own water and power so nothing runs from the house.
Can you do it while I am at work or asleep?
Yes, and plenty of people do exactly that. You do not need to be there for the whole thing. We just ask for five minutes at the end to walk the car with you.
Do I really need a coating on a family SUV?
More than a garage queen does. A coated finish is the difference between rewaxing every few months and rinsing it off. On a car that lives outside and hauls real life around, protection pays for itself in effort saved.
How long does a full detail take?
Two to five hours depending on size and condition. A three row SUV with a lived-in interior sits at the top of that range. I will give you the real number once I see photos.
Do you work weekends in Lakewood?
Yes. Weekends go first here because that is when the whole family is home. Weekday slots are easier to get.
