Tired of your car never staying clean?
The jacarandas on Rosecrans look great right up until they finish with your paint. Add a day at Splash or a week parked at Biola, and the car needs help again before the weekend.
La Mirada is trees and hills. Sap, pollen, and morning dew bake in fast up here, and the 5 along the edge of town adds its own film. Clean never lasts on its own.
Rinsing it off is not the same as getting it off. Soap carries away what is loose and leaves whatever has bonded to the clear coat, and a tunnel brush trades that for the fine scratches you notice in the sun at La Mirada Regional Park.
So we deal with what is embedded first. We pull the bonded grit out of the paint, polish back the marks you can see, then seal it so the next stretch of dust and sprinkler spray cannot dig in. Your driveway, our water and power.

That is the difference between a fifteen dollar tunnel and what we do. Not how it looks when you pull away, but how it looks after two weeks of Beach Boulevard and the 5.
Most weeks we are working in a driveway somewhere off Imperial, or up on the Biola side of town. There is no shop to drive to and everything we need rides in the van, so you keep your afternoon.
Cars here put real miles on the 5 and the 91, and that film bonds to paint faster than people expect. A coated surface lets most of it rinse away instead of settling in. Older finishes usually want correction first, and anything doing the school run needs the inside handled too.

I am Jaycen. Automotive Aptitude is four years old, I work out of Cerritos, and La Mirada is on the route most weeks.
The cars I enjoy most here are the kept ones. Someone has owned it a long time, plans to keep owning it, and wants it looked after properly rather than cheaply. That is a longer conversation than a quick quote and I am happy to have it.

The math
What a commute costs your paint each year
A car that commutes the 5 takes more abuse in a year than a garaged car takes in five. Protecting it once means the freeway wears on the coating instead of the paint you have to resell.
The one-year coating is $800. The seven-year is $1,600 and works out to about $19 a month. Kept nice once beats fixed twice, and the longest option is the cheapest one to own.
Every coating includes fixing the paint first, because a coating locks in whatever is under it.

Do you charge extra to come out to La Mirada?
No. La Mirada is on the regular route out of Cerritos and travel here is almost always zero.
What do most people in La Mirada book?
Correction and a ceramic coating. There are a lot of long-term owners here, cars that are kept rather than traded, and that is exactly the car a coating is worth doing on.
The car is garage kept and barely driven. Does it still need anything?
Different needs, not fewer. Garage-kept paint stays cleaner but still collects dust, and cars that sit get stale interiors and a flat-looking finish. That car is usually a correction candidate rather than a wash candidate.
I want to keep this car. What is the right approach?
Correct it once, protect it properly, then maintain it. That order matters. Polishing removes clear coat, so you want to do it well one time rather than lightly forever. A coating keeps the corrected finish from going backwards.
Can you work while I am out?
Yes. You do not have to be home for the work, only for the walkaround at the end. Most of the people we see regularly here leave the keys and get on with the day.
Can you do the inside as thoroughly as the outside?
Yes, and on a car that gets driven less it is often the part that needs more. Interiors that sit go stale and the leather dries out. Cleaning and conditioning it is a separate step and worth asking about.
How long does a full detail take?
Two to five hours depending on size and condition. Correction runs five and up, and a coating needs cure time afterward, which I will walk you through before you book.
Do you work weekends in La Mirada?
Yes. Weekends go first. Weekday mornings are the easiest to book.
