Nobody tells you why it never lasts. A regular wash lifts what sits on top. Tunnel brushes drag the last car grit across your paint, and that is where the swirls come from.

Run your hand over your hood. Feel that grit? That is dirt stuck in the paint, and soap will not take it out. We pull it out and seal the paint back up. Your car will feel like glass.

Ceramic Coating
The best protection we offer. First we fix the marks in the paint, because a coating locks in whatever is under it. Then we seal it. Water beads up and rolls off, and depending on the tier you pick that holds for one year up to seven. Coating work comes with a written warranty.
Not right for every car. We will tell you straight.

Meet Jaycen
I am Jaycen. I started Automotive Aptitude four years ago and I am still the one doing the work, every job, start to finish. I have detailed over a thousand cars across LA and Orange County, from daily driver Camrys to a GT3 RS and a Rolls-Royce Cullinan, and every one gets the same process.
I am fully insured, and I will show you the certificate if you ask. If something is not right, tell me at the walkthrough before I pack up. I would rather spend another twenty minutes on it than have you notice it later.

What we will not tell you
A wash is a wash. It will not remove scratches that are already in the paint, and anyone telling you otherwise is selling you something.
What it does do is stop the car getting worse. Bonded contamination comes off, the finish gets protected, and the paint stays in a condition worth keeping. Done every few weeks, it is the difference between a car that ages well and one that does not.
Scratches and swirls are a different job. That is correction work, and it is where four years and more than a thousand cars start to matter. Most of the marks people have learned to live with come out under the machine, once someone reads the paint properly and picks the right pass.
If all your car needs is a wash, I will say so. If the paint needs bringing back, that is the work I am best at. Either way, the answer comes from experience, not a sales script.

Questions we get about mobile detailing
What is the difference between a car wash and a detail?
A wash cleans what sits on top, and it is gone in a week. A detail resets the car. Bonded contamination comes out of the paint, the interior comes back to actually clean, and protection goes on before we leave. If the car has not been detailed in a while, that is the place to start.
Will a detail remove scratches and swirls?
A detail alone will not, and we will not pretend otherwise. Swirls and light scratches are correction work, machine polishing we have done across four years and a thousand-plus cars. Most of them come out. Send a photo through the enquiry bar and we will tell you which job your paint actually needs.
Do you need my hose or my outlet?
No. The van carries its own water and power. Nothing gets hooked up to your house.
Do I need to be home while you work?
No. Once we have access to the car and a spot to set up, go about your day. We will text when we are done.
Can you work at my apartment or office lot?
Usually, yes. Covered garages and tandem spots get tight, so send a photo of where the car sits and we will tell you before you book.
How long does it take?
Most washes run one to two hours, full details three to five. Anyone quoting you forty five minutes is not detailing your car.
